Campus Quiz (Student Stream)
The Campus Quiz (Student Stream) is designed to provide full-time students across India with a platform to demonstrate their business knowledge, analytical thinking and quizzing skills while competing with the brightest minds from educational institutions nationwide.
The competition follows a multi-stage format comprising online preliminary rounds followed by on-ground Cluster Finals, Zonal Finals and the National Final.
Registrations
- Registrations for the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2026–27 (Student Stream) will commence on 1 September 2026.
Competition Structure
The competition is conducted in four stages:
- Stage 1: Online Preliminary Round 1
- Stage 2: Online Preliminary Round 2
- Stage 3: Cluster Finals (On-Ground)
- Stage 4: Zonal Finals and National Final (On-Ground)
Stage 1 – Online Preliminary Round 1
The first preliminary round is conducted online.
- Each participant is permitted one attempt only.
- The quiz consists of 15 questions.
- Each question carries a 20-second timer.
- The total duration of the quiz is 5 minutes.
- Participants may attempt the quiz at any time during the registration window announced by the Organisers.
- Based on the predefined scoring criteria, up to the top 300 participants from each of the 18 clusters will qualify for Online Preliminary Round 2.*
*Dependent on final participation numbers received.
Stage 2 – Online Preliminary Round 2
The second preliminary round is conducted online after the completion of Round 1.
- The quiz consists of 30 questions.
- Each question carries a 30-second timer.
- The total duration of the quiz is 15 minutes.
- Participants qualifying from Round 1 will be eligible to participate.
- Up to 300 participants from each cluster, including up to 150 female participants, will qualify for this round.*
- A total of up to 7,200 participants across the country will compete in Round 2.*
- Based on the predefined scoring criteria and subject to verification, the top 8 participants from each cluster will qualify for the Cluster Finals.
*Dependent on final participation numbers received.
Stage 3 – Cluster Finals (On-Ground)
The country is divided into 18 clusters, based on the location of the participant's educational institution provided during registration.
- The top 8 participants from each cluster will compete in the respective Cluster Final.
- Cluster Finals will be conducted as live on-ground events.
- The winner and runner-up from each Cluster Final will qualify for the Zonal Finals.
- A total of 36 participants will advance to the Zonal Finals.
The venue and schedule for each Cluster Final will be announced by the Organisers closer to the event
If a shortlisted participant is unable to participate in the on-ground Cluster Finals, the Organisers reserve the right to allocate the vacant slot to an eligible participant from another cluster. The Organisers' decision shall be final and binding.
Stage 4 – Zonal Finals
The winners and runners-up from the 18 Cluster Finals will compete in the 6 Zonal Finals.
- Each Zonal Final will be conducted as an on-ground event.
- The winner from each Zonal Final will qualify for the National Final.
- A total of 6 participants will advance to the National Final.
The venues and schedules for the Zonal Finals will be communicated by the Organisers.
National Final
The National Final is the concluding stage of the competition.
- The 6 Zonal Winners will compete in the National Final.
- The National Final will be conducted as an on-ground event.
- The participant securing the highest score in the National Final will be declared the National Champion of the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2026–27 (Student Stream).
- The top four participants in the National Final will stand a chance to receive internship opportunities with Tata Group companies, subject to the applicable Internship Terms & Conditions.
The date and venue of the National Finals will be announced by the Organisers.
Important Notes
- All rounds of the competition are subject to participant verification by the Organisers.
- Progression to subsequent rounds is based on performance, eligibility verification and compliance with the Terms & Conditions of the competition.
- The Organisers reserve the right to modify the competition format, timelines, venues or progression criteria, if required, at their sole discretion.
- All decisions of the Organisers and the Quizmaster regarding participant progression, scoring and results shall be final and binding.

Quiz - Terms & Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions govern participation in the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2026–27 (Student Stream). By registering for and participating in the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz, participants agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
1. Eligibility
- The Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2026–27 (Student Stream) is open only to full-time students pursuing eligible programmes at recognised educational institutions located in India.
- The Quiz is open only to students who are 18 years of age or above.
- Eligible participants may be pursuing
- Undergraduate degree programmes;
- Postgraduate degree programmes;
- Postgraduate diploma programmes;
- M.Phil. programmes;
- PhD programmes; or
- Any other full-time programme recognised by the Organisers.
- Junior college students are not eligible to participate.
- The Quiz is open only to educational institutions located in India.
- There is NO ENTRY FEE for participation.
- Participation is strictly on an individual basis.
- Any number of eligible students from the same institution may participate.
- Students below 18 years of age, junior college students, and individuals who are not enrolled as full-time students in eligible programmes at recognised educational institutions or universities located in India are not eligible to participate.
2. Registration
- The registrations for this edition are completely online, and the link will be updated on www.tatacrucible.com.
- Participants must complete the registration form with accurate and complete information.
- Participants must select the location of their educational institution during registration. Cluster allocation will be based on the institution's location and not the participant's residential address.
- All registrations are subject to verification and acceptance by the Organisers.
- Registered participants will receive a confirmation email upon successful verification of their registration.
3. Competition Format
- The Quiz will be conducted through multiple stages comprising:
- Online Preliminary Round 1;
- Online Preliminary Round 2;
- Cluster Finals;
- Zonal Finals;
- and National Final.
- All registered participants will be eligible to participate in Online Preliminary Round 1.
- Progression to subsequent rounds shall be based on the prescribed scoring methodology and successful verification of participant eligibility.
- If a shortlisted participant is unable to participate in the on-ground Cluster Finals, the Organisers reserve the right to allocate the vacant slot to an eligible participant from another cluster. The Organisers' decision shall be final and binding.
- The Organisers reserve the right to revise the format, number of rounds, timelines, venues or progression criteria at any stage of the competition.
4. Participant Responsibilities
- Participants must provide accurate information during registration and throughout the competition.
- Participants shall participate only in their own capacity and shall not use proxies or seek assistance from any other individual during any stage of the Quiz.
- Participants shall maintain the highest standards of integrity, honesty and fair play throughout the competition.
- Any participant found engaging in cheating, impersonation, plagiarism, use of unfair means or any conduct that compromises the integrity of the Quiz may be immediately disqualified.
- The Organisers reserve the right to conduct verification checks at any stage of the competition to ensure compliance with these Terms and Conditions.
5. Identity Verification
- Participants qualifying for on-ground rounds must produce a valid student identity card issued by their educational institution, along with any additional identity or eligibility documents requested by the Organisers.
- Where a valid student identity card is unavailable or does not adequately establish eligibility, the Organisers may require a letter issued by the participant's educational institution confirming the participant's enrolment and eligibility.
- Failure to produce the required documents may result in cancellation of participation.
6. Attendance At On-Ground Rounds
- Participants qualifying for the Cluster Finals, Zonal Finals or National Final must be physically present at the venue designated by the Organisers.
- Participants shall be responsible for complying with travel instructions communicated by the Organisers.
- If a shortlisted participant is unable to attend an on-ground round, the Organisers reserve the right to allocate the vacant slot to the next eligible participant, including one from another cluster, at their sole discretion. The Organisers' decision shall be final and binding.
7. Technology Requirements
- The online registration and preliminary rounds will be conducted on digital platforms.
- Participants are solely responsible for arranging reliable internet connectivity, compatible devices and any other technical requirements necessary to participate.
- The Organisers shall not be responsible for interruptions caused by internet failures, device malfunctions, power outages or any technical issues at the participant's end.
- While the Organisers shall make reasonable efforts to ensure smooth functioning of the technology platform, they shall not be liable for any unforeseen technical failures beyond their reasonable control.
8. Conduct During The Quiz
- Participants are expected to uphold the spirit of fair competition at all times.
- Any objectionable behaviour, misconduct or violation of the Quiz rules may result in immediate disqualification.
- The decisions of the Organisers and the Quizmaster shall be final and binding on all matters relating to the Quiz.
- No correspondence regarding the Organisers' or Quizmaster's decisions shall be entertained.
9. Organisers' Rights
The Organisers reserve the right to:
- accept or reject any registration;
- verify participant eligibility;
- modify the Quiz format;
- amend schedules;
- change venues;
- revise the rules;
- suspend, postpone or cancel any stage of the Quiz; or
- withdraw or terminate the Quiz at any time without prior notice, if deemed necessary.
Any such decision made by the Organisers shall be final.
10. Photography, Recording & Publicity
- By participating in the Quiz, participants consent to being photographed, filmed, audio-recorded and otherwise recorded during the competition.
- The Organisers may use such photographs, recordings and videos for promotional, publicity, archival, digital, print or other communication purposes without any further consent or compensation.
11. Communication
By registering for the Quiz, participants consent to receive communications from the Organisers regarding:
- the Quiz;
- future editions of Tata Crucible;
- other initiatives undertaken by the Organisers or Tata Group entities.
12. Prizes
- All prizes awarded shall be final and non-transferable.
- No cash alternative, exchange or substitution shall be permitted unless determined otherwise by the Organisers.
- The top four participants in the National Final shall be eligible for internship opportunities with Tata Group companies, subject to the applicable Internship Terms & Conditions.
- If any prize becomes unavailable, the Organisers reserve the right to substitute it with another prize of comparable value.
- All applicable taxes arising from acceptance of prizes shall be the sole responsibility of the prize recipients.
- Neither the Organisers nor their sponsors, employees, consultants, agents or service providers shall be liable for any injury, loss, damage or claim arising from acceptance or use of any prize.
13. Fraudulent Offers
- Participants do not pay any participation fee to the Organisers.
- Participants are advised to disregard any fraudulent communication claiming otherwise.
- The Organisers shall not be responsible for any loss suffered by participants acting upon such fraudulent offers.
- Participants are encouraged to promptly report any such fraudulent communication to the Organisers.
14. Collection Of Information
The Organisers may collect and process participant information, including government-issued identity documents, banking details (where applicable) and other supporting documentation for:
- participant verification;
- prize distribution;
- communication regarding the Quiz; and
- compliance with applicable legal or administrative requirements.

16. General
- The Organisers reserve the right to alter, amend or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
- Participation in the Quiz constitutes unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- Failure to comply with any provision of these Terms and Conditions may result in disqualification from the Quiz.
- The Organisers' interpretation of these Terms and Conditions and all decisions relating to the Quiz shall be final and binding on all participants.
- The Internship opportunity awarded to eligible finalists shall be governed by the separate Internship Terms & Conditions, which form an integral part of these Terms & Conditions.
Internship – Terms & Conditions
The following Internship Terms & Conditions govern the internship opportunity offered to eligible finalists of the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2026–27 (Student Stream). By accepting the internship opportunity, shortlisted participants agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
1. Eligibility
- The winner and the top three runners-up (collectively referred to as the "Shortlisted Participants") of the National Final of the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2026–27 (Student Stream) shall be eligible for an internship opportunity with a Tata Group company, subject to these Terms & Conditions.
- The internship opportunity is awarded at the sole discretion of the Organisers and is subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with all applicable Quiz Terms & Conditions.
- The decision of the Organisers regarding the identification of the Shortlisted Participants shall be final and binding.
2. Duration
The duration of the internship shall ordinarily be two (2) months, unless otherwise determined by the Relevant Company.
3. Internship Allocation
- Internship opportunities shall be offered by one or more Tata Group companies ("Relevant Company").
- The Organisers shall allocate the Relevant Company after considering the participant's skills, interests and the business requirements of the Relevant Company.
- While participant preferences may be considered wherever feasible, the final decision regarding company allocation shall rest solely with the Organisers and/or the Relevant Company.
- Shortlisted Participants shall not have the right to request a change in the Relevant Company allotted to them.
4. Acceptance Of Internship
- Shortlisted Participants shall communicate their acceptance of the internship offer within three (3) days of receiving the written offer from the Organisers or the Relevant Company.
- Failure to communicate acceptance within the prescribed period shall constitute a deemed rejection of the internship opportunity.
- In such cases, the Organisers reserve the right, but shall not be under any obligation, to offer the internship opportunity to another eligible participant.
5. Verification And Documentation
- Prior to commencement of the internship, Shortlisted Participants may be
required to:
- undergo background verification;
- submit educational documents;
- provide proof of identity;
- furnish any additional documentation required under the policies of the Relevant Company.
- Failure to provide the required documents or successfully complete the verification process may result in withdrawal of the internship offer.
6. Internship Conduct
- During the internship period, Shortlisted Participants shall comply with all policies, rules, confidentiality obligations, code of conduct requirements and workplace procedures of the Relevant Company.
- Participants are expected to maintain professional behaviour throughout the internship.
- Failure to comply with the Relevant Company's policies or these Terms & Conditions may result in termination of the internship without any liability on the Organisers or the Relevant Company.
7. Stipend And Expenses
- Where applicable, Shortlisted Participants may receive a stipend in accordance with the policies of the Relevant Company.
- Unless specifically communicated otherwise, travel, accommodation, boarding, personal expenses and any other incidental costs shall be borne by the Shortlisted Participant.
8. Nature Of Internship
- The internship opportunity shall not be construed as:
- an offer of employment;
- a promise of future employment;
- a contractual appointment; or
- any assurance of permanent or temporary engagement with the Tata Group or the Relevant Company.
- Completion of the internship shall not create any right or entitlement to employment.
9. Organisers' Rights
- The Organisers reserve the right to:
- withdraw, cancel or suspend the internship programme;
- modify the internship structure;
- substitute the Relevant Company;
- replace the internship opportunity; or
- disqualify any Shortlisted Participant, if considered necessary at their sole discretion.
- Such decisions shall be final and binding.
10. Liability
The Organisers, Tata Sons Private Limited, the Relevant Company, judges, sponsors, employees, consultants, agents and service providers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss, damage, injury or expense arising out of or in connection with:
- participation in the Quiz;
- acceptance or rejection of the internship;
- cancellation or modification of the internship opportunity; or
- failure to secure or complete the internship. under applicable law.
Nothing contained herein shall exclude any liability that cannot be excluded
11. Intellectual Property And Publicity
- Any photographs, videos, recordings or other media captured during the Quiz or internship selection process may be used by the Organisers for promotional, publicity, archival or communication purposes without further consent or compensation.
- Any videos, photographs or other creative assets voluntarily submitted by participants as part of the Quiz shall become the property of the Organisers, who shall have the unrestricted right to use, reproduce, publish, distribute or otherwise exploit such material across any media platform, subject to applicable law.
12. Force Majeure
The Organisers shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing their obligations where such failure arises from events beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, public health emergencies, technical failures or any other force majeure event.
13. Modification Of Terms
The Organisers reserve the right to amend, vary, add to or delete any provision of these Internship Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
14. Governing Terms
- These Internship Terms & Conditions shall be read together with the Campus Quiz Terms & Conditions.
- In the event of any inconsistency between promotional material and these Internship Terms & Conditions, these Internship Terms & Conditions shall prevail.
- By accepting the internship opportunity, Shortlisted Participants acknowledge that they have read, understood and agreed to these Internship Terms & Conditions.
- The Organisers' interpretation of these Terms & Conditions shall be final and binding on all matters relating to the internship.
- The courts at Mumbai, India, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with the internship opportunity and these Terms & Conditions.

Am I shortlisted? How will I know if I am shortlisted?
If you are shortlisted for the Cluster Finals, you will be contacted by the Organisers or their designated representative for the verification process. Please ensure that the details provided during registration are accurate, particularly the location of your educational institution, as your cluster allocation is based on this information.
What is the schedule of the cluster finals?
The Cluster Final schedule, including the date and venue for your cluster, will be communicated to shortlisted participants by the Organisers closer to the event.
What is the verification process?
Shortlisted participants will be contacted by the Organisers or their designated representative for verification. You may be required to provide a valid government-issued photo ID, student ID issued by your educational institution and/or additional documents requested by the Organisers to verify your identity and eligibility.
My verification is complete. Does that mean I’m confirmed for the Cluster Finals? Should I go ahead and plan my travel?
Completion of verification does not by itself constitute confirmation. Your participation in the
Cluster Finals will be confirmed by the Organisers after your credentials and eligibility have been
successfully verified.
Once you receive confirmation of your position as a Cluster Finalist, you can make your travel
arrangements in accordance with the travel instructions communicated by the Organisers.
My verification is pending. What should I do?
Verification may be completed in stages based on the Cluster Final schedule. If your verification is pending, please wait for the Organisers or their designated representative to contact you with the next steps.
I cannot participate in the next rounds due to travel, other reasons etc. What should I do?
Participants qualifying for the Cluster Finals, Zonal Finals or National Final must be physically present at the venue designated by the Organisers. If a shortlisted participant is unable to attend an on-ground round, the Organisers reserve the right to allocate the vacant position to another eligible participant. The Organisers' decision will be final and binding.
Can I bring someone along with me for the Cluster Finals?
Yes, you are welcome to bring guests along. However, the travel and stay expenses of your accompanying guests will have to be borne by you.
